Mi casa es su casa!
We made the final push this weekend and got ourselves moved out of the garden suite of the Micheltorena place. Goodbye to the pool and hottub, hello to our new dog!! For now I wanted to post a few pics of the new place for yall to see. Keep in mind they're night shots with a hand held point and shoot. We will get some better ones up after I cut down on some of the cardboard in here at the moment.
Here is the front entrance to the place- you can see through the living room to the patio outside and into the side yard - you cant see it now, but that will be our garden soon enough!
Living room- gas fireplace, the area in the middle is the patio door and the sunroom area that has floor to ceiling windows. I will probably set up my desk in this area and we will hang some blinds. The dining nook is to the left and leads to the kitchen.
Office area.
Living room from the office area looking back out the front door. Large picture window to the left, the bedroom is through the doorway to the right and the bathroom is just out of frame.
The kitchen is probably the same floor space, but a huge amount of counter space in comparison our other place. More than enough storage for all our goodies, with glass panel doors for all the C&B dishes on the left side, and pantry space on both sides. I approve of the use of space in this kitchen - well done!
Our new best friend!
All new appliances, built in microwave saving us tons of counter space- the stainless matches all my coffee machines and toaster, etc. Worked out well! The stove is CLEAN!
We plan to add our nice curvy shower head that reaches tall enough for me, and also probably get another hotel shower bar for this place if they want to keep ours at the old place - maybe negotiate a little deposit increase for leaving our ceiling fans and microwave too...
Corner of the bedroom - two exterior windows that back up to trees. Nice light in the mornings we found - stays nice and cool in this place too because of the shade. Brrrr for Katie, awesome for me hehe!!
The only closet space in the bedroom, I already took the doors off and stored them in the garage so we will come up with something creative to cover up all the clothes - It looks like we should have room for both our clothes side by side, and we got a new dresser too so keep an eye out for the new IKEA goodies once they're assembled!Friday, October 31, 2008

Off the Grid
this is the long lost little brother my mom always warned she had, you know, the type of uncle they make sit at the kids table till he's 33 or so... shot this in their front yard on the open range in Colorado - surrounded by mountains and fresh air - what more could you want? Left to right is Uncle Dave, cousins Mack and Sydney and Aunt Leslie. Miss y'all!I know this is super outdated by this point - but its time to play a little catch up - im going to experiment with creating shorter more frequent posts to keep things updated a little more! But still keep an eye out for the archives at some point. Stay tuned this weekend for the rest of this trip!

The Boys are Back!
Hey there from the West coast, and welcome to the new blog! I hope to keep this spot regularly updated with fresh photos of the projects Im working on for school and pleasure, and hope to get my old work archived on here as well. Stay tuned...
Bobby Carpenter running pursuit drills with the linebackers. He looks a lot different without a helmet.
You should know who this one is... new number this season, but same 'ol Roy. From what Ive seen it looks like old school Roy, who remembers how to lay the helmet.
Marion Barber has made his way to the top of the depth chart, though some would say he's been there for a year already. It's nice to see a back hit the gap as hard as this guy runs, and we heard him lay someone out on a blocking back situation - it was LOUD. This was shot at a morning workout so they are in shells = shorts, pads, and helmets.
Everyone and their cousin decided training camp would be the coolest at 8am, I guess you just cant keep people away from the Boys for any reason, even just practice! We chatted with Police on the sidelines about the gang members in the crowd who have adopted Cowboys colors as their own, allowing them to blend in with others a little easier. Can you pick any out?
Romo and backup Johnson tossing passes around during a water break. Johnson ran ok with the second teams and looked pretty decent, but Romo is the obvious starter for good reason.
Matt Mcbriar kicking one away during special teams practice - it was fun to get back into the work-flow of a practice again, hearing them call out the names of the drills they were heading to. It all came flooding back.
After the second string performance of Brad Johnson against the Chargers last weekend, this guy Rich Bartel could be a few steps closer to dressing on Sundays.
The linemen all seemed to have new babies and the other guys were going nuts for them. Check out the tiny tiara on his little girls head!
This one pretty much speaks for itself right? Huge dudes playing with tiny babies... other huge smelly dudes walking up and playing with babies. Softies, all of 'em.
Head Coach Wade Phillips making the fans happy kissing babies and signing fan wear, which they were hocking by the semi load just outside the gates. I admit to purchasing a new visor and some plain practice T's but the quality wasn't worth dropping the $$ for something like a jersey. We will snag those somewhere in Dallas, maybe a cool throwback or something...
Jason Witten has his own shirt out this season - its an image of him running the ball after the Eagles ripped his helmet off and he ran over two more guys before rumbling 53 yards down the field. People are calling this guy a legend, I think he's a really great TE and can't wait to watch his contribution to this seasons squad.
I think this is new receiver Danny Amendola, but I shot this because they were catching balls after practice was over, getting in some extra drills which impressed me given their track record for dropped passes... one person missing was the playmaker. Im excited to see what the new crop of talent brings this season! Go Cowboys!
